Former Time Magazine correspondent Jay Newton-Small used to cover politics and foreign policy. Now, she writes the life stories of people with dementia. Newton-Small tells Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner that her company, MemoryWell, grew out of her experience caring for her father. Her work recently took her to a senior home in Fort Collins where she lived for several days and wrote about some of the residents. You can read the biography here that Newton-Small wrote about her own father.
