Six lawmakers are charged with deciding how Colorado spends its discretionary budget, a pot of money worth about $8 billion next year. For much of this week, these six were deadlocked on how to spend 1/400th of those funds. They finally came to an agreement Thursday afternoon. To lift the curtain on this powerful body, and the other goings on at the Capitol, host Ryan Warner checks in with CPR’s Megan Verlee.
Bills mentioned in this segment:
SB109 - Maintaince to Lists of Registered Electors
SCR12-001 - Repeal Unconstitutional Provisions in State Constitution
