Forget "Silver Bells'' for a minute. At the University of Denver they're bronze -- and big. Six tons big, in the case of one bell on the university's "grand carillon.'' Carol Jickling Lens teaches carillon at DU, where student players can earn bachelor's or master's degrees. She'll play carols on the instrument Sunday -- snow or shine -- at the campus in southeast Denver.
