Poet Pattiann Rogers of Castle Rock, Colo., finds beauty in places most of us wouldn’t think to look for it: a solitary spider, a mangy mongrel or a small mushroom. But, she’s also adept at describing the invisible so well you can almost see it, whether it’s the wind or silence. Rogers has been writing poetry for more than 30 years. She’s received a long list of prestigious awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship and five Pushcart Prizes. She speaks with Ryan Warner about her newest book of poems, Holy Heathen Rhapsody.
