Colorado counties split on secession vote

Early results available Wednesday show voters in six of the counties voted against having their commissioners pursue seceding from Colorado.
That includes Weld County, the largest of the 11. Voters in five counties favored moving forward with creating a new state.
It's not clear what happens from here, but many say the votes were symbolic.
Conversation will continue around another idea on the table -- a call for reapportioning legislators in the state assembly as another way to increase the political voice for rural Colorado.
