A grandparent's cabin in Wyoming. Utah's National Parks. And now, the Pacific Ocean. Denver musician Joel Van Horne makes music with an elegant sound inspired by the natural world. Van Horne released his third album under the name Covenhoven June 1. The record is called “A Kind of Revelation.”
Van Horne talked to Colorado Matters about the new album and his songwriting inspirations. Each Covenhoven record is tied to a time and place in Van Horne's life. He wrote "A Kind of Revelation" after visiting the west coast of California, Oregon and Washington. Covenhoven performs June 12 at Denver’s Bluebird Theater.
