Colleges and universities are often viewed as liberal bastions, with professors who are more often from the left than the right. Now, the University of Colorado wants to change that. So, it recently appointed its first visiting "Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy." The man tapped for the job is Steven Hayward, who is leaving his post at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Hayward has been a fellow in the American Enterprise Institute and has challenged Democrats on the issue of global warming.
