One Coloradan recently found himself in a fight to the death. Fortunately, the battle was his robot versus another on ABC's show, "BattleBots." Zack Bieber's Razorback lost in the opening round.
Though Bieber has been participating in robot fighting competitions since the late 90s, most of the robots he make serve more practical purposes. More than 1,000 of his creations, he says, are currently in operation in Afghanistan and Iraq to help soldiers with surveillance and inspection. The Machine Lab has also worked closely with NASA and some universities to create robots that can operate and conduct research in extremely cold weather.
