People generally don't go to church to fight -- but some do. A growing number of pastors around the country are teaching their congregations how to cage fight. Cage fighting, or mixed martial arts (MMA), is a violent sport that involves wrestling and kick-boxing.
The pastors argue fighting plays an important role in Christianity because many of the Bible’s teachings involve fighting for personal beliefs and religious freedom.
The debate over combining religion and martial arts is part of a new documentary called “Fight Church,” c0-directed by Denver filmmaker Daniel Junge. Junge speaks with Ryan Warner.
