In his inauguration speech last July, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock promised to turn the area surrounding DIA into a bustling "aerotropolis" that will drive growth and create a "regional economic powerhouse." Now that he's been in office for nearly a year, Hancock has had a chance to come up with some specifics about developing the 9,000 acres of land owned by DIA. He’s unveiling his plans today in a keynote address at the annual Airport World Cities Conference, which is taking place in Denver for the first time. The mayor talks with Ryan Warner.
