The Denver Voice is a monthly newspaper sold by people who live on the streets. Like many papers, it’s struggling financially. This isn’t the first time, though. The Denver Voice launched in 1997 and operated for nine years until it went out of print. A year later, in 2007, a wealthy philanthropist helped start it up again. Now that funder has scaled back support, and the paper is scrambling to fill the gap. We hear from the paper's managing editor Amelia Patterson about efforts to keep the presses rolling. And we talk to one of the vendors, John Alexander, who depends on the paper for work.
