Don Hunter, who lives near Fort Collins, studies cats. Big ones. Especially the rarely seen snow leopard. Hunter travels to the mountains of India, Pakistan, and Mongolia to work on protecting them. That research caught the attention of folks at Rocky Mountain National Park, who knew very little about their own cats... mountain lions. Hunter lent his expertise, and has helped make some important discoveries at the park. He says his experiences in Asia have informed his research here. Hunter has just edited a new book of essays called "Snow Leopard: Stories From the Roof of the World." He speaks with Ryan Warner.
