If you’ve spent any time with a toddler, you know how important naps can be. No nap typically means cranky kid. Well, new research shows conclusively how crucial naps are to a toddler’s well-being. More importantly, it finds that if toddlers don’t get their naps, it could put them at risk for depression and anxiety later on. Monique LeBourgeois is a physiologist at CU Boulder and led the study. She speaks with Ryan Warner.
