Once The Object Of GOP Derision, Amy Stephens Says Her Health Care Stance Has Been Justified

Early on, critics of the federal health care law used the term “Obamacare” to disparage it. The former president later said he liked the name. In Colorado, critics coined the term  “AmyCare” — a reference to Amy Stephens, a state representative from Monument who sponsored the bill that created Colorado’s insurance exchange.

Now a principal for public policy and regulation at Denver's Dentons Law Firm, Stephens spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner about the past and present of health care, as well as what the future may hold for Colorado.
