In our series of interviews with people whose lives have been disrupted by the economic downturn, Ryan Warner speaks to Pat, who asked that we not use her last name. Pat is 52. She lost her job as a software engineer almost two years ago. After a series of financial struggles she wound up in a Lakewood homeless shelter. Our series, Redefining Life in the Bad Economy, airs Mondays and weekends.
Many of the people we're talking to for this series came to us through our Public Insight Network, where folks sign up to share their stories and help with our reporting. Has your life changed dramatically in this economy? Let us know...join the network at CPR.org
