There will be a lot of new faces, many of them Republican, when the state legislature convenes in January. The GOP is poised to take control of the Colorado House depending on the outcome of some close races. Democrats held onto the state Senate but by a hair. That means Democratic governor-elect John Hickenlooper could face a split legislature. For a sense of what that relationship might look like we talked with House Speaker Terrance Carroll, a Democrat, and Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry, a Republican.
Both leave the legislature in January.
