People in Colorado’s resort communities are balking at how much health insurance costs.
The price tag is sometimes more than double what people pay on the Front Range.
The state’s insurance commissioner, Marguerite Salazar, has set up a task force to examine the issue more closely. She says one reason the mountain areas face such high costs is that everything is more expensive there, from salaries for medical staff to the cost of supplies for clinics and hospitals.
