Two Colorado teachers talk about whether there’s too much testing in schools

Colorado lawmakers, teachers, parents, and students are all trying to answer the question: how much testing is too much?

It's top of mind as students take the newest standardized tests, known as PARCC. The tests were designed by a group of states to align with the new Common Core standards.

Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner talked with two educators with differing views. Joanie Funderburk and Susan Ryder each wrote essays about their views for the online news site Chalkbeat Colorado.
