Vancouver's approach to its opioid crisis has drawn interest from elected officials around the world.

Vancouver, on Canada's west coast, has always been a draw for tourists. But as the CBC's Geoff Turner tells Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner,  the city is also drawing visitors, including elected officials from around the world, because of its unique approach to illegal drug use. Denver officials plan to visit this month to see if they can learn from some of  Vancouver's strategies. Turner's recent podcast "On Drugs" looked at what that city is doing to help injection drug users stay safe and avoid overdoses.
