Ballot Initiative Would Raise the Colorado Minimum Wage

Amendment 42 would increase the minimum wage in Colorado from $5.15 to $6.85 an hour. Twenty-three states already require employers to pay more than the federal rate. Linda Meric is executive director of 9 to 5, National Association of Working Women, one of several groups promoting the measure. Tony Gagliardi is president of the Colorado chapter of the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He says the measure could put companies out of business. They talk to Dan Meyers.
