Roan Plateau Plan Allows Restricted Drilling

For two years, a debate has raged over whether to allow energy drilling on the Roan Plateau, which rises 3,000 feet above the town of Rifle. The Bureau of Land Management has unveiled a controversial plan that attempts to balance conservation and energy development.
