Colorado ranks 49th among the states in the money it spends on each college student. Gov. Bill Ritter cited that statistic during his recent State of the State Address, while pledging to keep a college education in the state both affordable and rigorous. In the first part of our show, a roundtable discussion on higher-ed funding and quality. Dan Meyers discusses higher-ed funding with Larry Penley, president of Colorado State University; Nancy McCallin, president of the Colorado Community College System; and Tim Taylor, president of Colorado Succeeds, a group of business leaders interested in improving higher education.
