Colorado is trying something new to help boost international trade, investment and tourism. For the first time, state officials are tapping business leaders in Japan, Mexico and Canada to advise them on how to promote Colorado. Gov. John Hickenlooper recently released an updated economic development plan with a greater focus on the International Trade and Tourism Ambassador Program. CPR's Anna Panoka spoke with Barry Hirschfeld, Jr., who leads the group that’s marketing Colorado in Japan. He runs a real estate private equity firm in Tokyo.
