Denver Water today announced restrictions beginning April 1 will mean that residents will be able to water their lawns only twice a week.

"We’re definitely concerned about the conditions, and we’re facing a severe drought right now," Stacy Chesney, a spokeswoman for Denver Water, said.

She tells CPR’s Pat Mack conditions are worse than 2002, the state’s last severe drought year.
