The program, titled“From the Depths I Call to You," includes "Cantata Der Herr denket an uns"; "Cantata Nach dir Herr"; and "Cantata Aus der Tiefen rufe ich, Herr, zu dir"; as well as Bach’s Motet No. 3 “Komm Jesu Komm.”
Featured vocal soloists include soprano Amanda Balestrieri, alto Marjorie Bunday, tenor Daniel Hutchings and bass Adam Ewing. They’ll perform with the Boulder Bach Festival chorus.
The program also includes a non-Bach piece, Marcello’s Concerto for Oboe in D minor, with Kristin Olson as the soloist.
Performances are set for 7:30 p.m.Friday at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 1350 Washington Street, in Denver and 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain View Methodist Church, 355 Ponca Place, Boulder.
The festival also offers an all-Vivaldi program tonight in Boulder and Saturday in Longmont.
