The owner of a pit bull has been arrested after her dog attacked a toddler in Commerce City.
The Denver Post reports that 51-year-old Sue Tacket has been charged with unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog.
The attack happened Sunday evening in a grocery store parking lot.
A 19-month-old child was bitten by the 90-pound dog.
The boy suffered injuries to his face and neck, but police say he is expected to survive the attack. The dog was tethered to a pole and the child approached to pet the animal when it attacked.
Tacket is being held at the Adams County Jail.
