The Colorado Department of Transportation is beginning a statewide push to make sure tires are ready to take on mountain travel this winter.

The Denver Post reported representatives with CDOT and a Denver tire company will be at Arapahoe Basin ski resort Saturday to provide information and to check tire treads. Checks will also be conducted at the Dinosaur Lots off Interstate 70 west of Denver.
