Temporary powdered alcohol ban advances in Colorado Senate

Legislation to put the sale of powdered alcohol on hold in Colorado advanced in the state Senate as lawmakers grapple with how to regulate a product that's not in stores yet.

The product called Palcohol is still awaiting federal approval. It comes in a pouch with powder to which water is added for the equivalent of a shot of vodka or rum.
