Flooding’s not over yet; South Platte bulge moves downstream

Flooding continues along the South Platte River as over a week's worth of snow and rain makes its way downstream, with the high water Tuesday between Greeley and Sterling, and spreading down the river through the week.

All of the recent rain has eased drought conditions in southeast Colorado, where it "sure put a smile on a lot of faces," Gov. John Hickenlooper said Monday. The area received about 3 inches of rain, spread over several days. That allowed it to seep several feet into the ground, but the governor added, "I’m not sure it solved all of the problems."
