Fort Carson drone crash startles neighbor

A small drone from Fort Carson got a little lost before crashing in a Colorado Springs man's backyard. The Gazette of Colorado Springs reports that Ronald Fisk found a 4-pound drone Tuesday near his yard in downtown. Fort Carson officials say the drone was flying within Army and FAA regulations when a data link to the craft was lost. From the Gazette:

"It looked expensive," Fisk said. "I couldn't figure out who owned it, so I wrote my telephone number on a piece of paper because the camera was moving and held it in front of the camera, thinking someone would call me if they wanted it back. That didn't work out, so I called the police."
