Police link shooting of cyclist, driver in northern Colorado

Police say the shooting death of a cyclist and another shooting that injured a driver in northern Colorado are linked, but they refused to say how or why they arrived at that conclusion. John Jacoby, the 48-year-old cyclist, was found dead May 18, and the Interstate 25 shooting of Cori Romero occurred April 22.

The FBI, which has joined local law enforcement in the investigation, is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest.

Windsor Police Chief John Michaels says it’s imperative the public steps forward with any information they may have about the two cases:

"The public will be the biggest assistance we can get. The message to the community is what you see standing here. All law enforcement is teaming together to try and resolve this as quickly as possible."
