The man who set a record for speed hiking the Appalachian Trail has been issued three tickets for public drinking, littering and hiking with an oversized group.

Scott Jurek overcame an early injury, difficult terrain in New England and sleep deprivation on the final stretch to complete the 2,189-mile run from Georgia to Maine in 46 days, eight hours. The 41-year-old ultra-marathoner from Colorado beat the old record by three hours.
