A 59-year-old man from New Hampshire is dead after collapsing on a hike with his son inColorado.

Jon Harris of Derry died Wednesday evening near Maroon Lake outside Aspen. The Pitkin County Sheriff Office's says two other people nearby began administering CPR before medics and Mountain Rescue Aspen volunteers arrived but they were unable to save him. The lake, located at about 10,000 feet above sea level, is one of the most popular places to view the Maroon Bells, twin mountains that are among the most famous in the state.
