No Charges Against Aurora Police Officer Who Shot Armed Man

Prosecutors will not file charges against a police officer who shot a man who was brandishing a semi-automatic handgun outside of an Aurora bar.

District Attorney Dave Young wrote in a letter to Aurora Police Chief Nicholas Metz that five police officers went to the area June 28 after a report of an armed man who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
