Prosecutors have determined that Greeley police officers were justified when they killed a man who shot his wife and then pointed a gun at them.

The Weld County District Attorney's Office said Thursday the officers were cleared in the June 19 shooting of 50-year-old Louis Joseph Atencio "because they reasonably believed it was necessary to defend themselves and others."
