3 Aurora Schools Locked Down After Teen Shot At Nearby Park

Three schools in suburban Denver have been locked down while police investigate the shooting of a teenager at a nearby park.

The Aurora Sentinel reports that a 16-year-old boy was shot Thursday afternoon but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police have closed streets around Parklane Park in Aurora where the shooting happened, and three nearby schools have closed as a precaution. The schools are Park Lane Elementary, Paris Elementary and North Middle School.
