Fire crews are fighting a large grass fire burning in northeastern Colorado.

The fire was burning on approximately 3,000 acres Friday on what appears to be open land on the plains east of Kersey. The Platte Valley Fire District says no structures are threatened and the blaze has been about 10 percent contained.

Aircraft are also being used to help stop the fire.
