Kevin Patterson Named CEO Of Connect For Health Colorado

The board of Connect for Health Colorado named Kevin Patterson as permanent CEO on Monday. He has been serving as interim CEO since May.

A legislative oversight committee must okay that choice after a 14-day period for public comment.

Patterson previously served in leadership roles with several public agencies, including as chief administrative officer to Gov. John Hickenlooper.

Open enrollment starts in a few weeks. So far this year, more than 150,000 Coloradans signed up.

Officials hope to boost that number. A fee on each insurance policy sold through the exchange helps fund its operation, so an increase in enrollment would help it become financially sustainable.
