Officials investigating an apparently extensive case of sexting at a southern Colorado high school are suggesting parents check their children's phones for explicit selfies while also trying to reassure the teens involved that it's not the "end of the world."

Following tips to Canon City High School officials and a hotline, police said Friday that, so far, they have one phone with hundreds of images they will be working to identify. School enrollment is about 1,000.
