For-Profit Westwood College To Stop Accepting New Students

Westwood College, which has two Colorado campuses, has announced it will no longer accept new students.

The Denver Post reports that the for-profit college released a statement Wednesday, saying the school has faced an extended period of declining enrollment and is discontinuing all new student admissions.

Westwood has 4,000 students enrolled and will continue its operations at 14 different campuses across the country. The school's Colorado campuses include north Denver and Aurora, which opened its 34,000-square-foot facility last year.

About 480 students attend Westwood in Colorado.
