Six people walked away unhurt following a small plane crash in southeastern Weld County.

The Greeley Tribune reports the twin-engine Beachcraft Baron 56TC suddenly lost altitude during takeoff and crashed near the Platte Valley Airpark about 3 miles northwest of Hudson on Sunday evening. The Weld County Sheriff's Office declined to release the names of the people on board.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
