AAA believes gas prices will remain low in 2016, with average prices expected to range from $2.25 to $2.45 a gallon.
Crude oil prices fell by more than a third last year and currently hover around $38 a barrel. Oil experts believe the cost of crude will remain low with cheaper gas prices for much of the year.
AAA says regional price variations are likely and global events or changes in the oil market could lead to price increases.
