Colorado Auto Dealers See Best Year Since 2001

More than 200,000 new autos were registered last year, according to the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association. That's the most since 2001.

It’s only the second time in 15 years that auto sales surpassed 200,000. It’s taken years for dealers to dig out from the recession. But sales have now doubled since hitting a low point in 2009.

Low interest financing, cheap gas, and a strong labor market all contributed to the big car sales year.
