Denver Police Plan More Patrols For Super Bowl Aftermath

The Denver Police Department will beef up patrols in downtown Denver following Sunday’s Super Bowl. And they're already encouraging people to enjoy the game responsibly with their “Don’t be a Donkey” social media campaign.

Police Commander Rick Kyle says officers will be watching for unruly behavior, including an increased DUI patrol presence. The department is working to avoid a repeat of some over-the-top celebrations that caused property damage during previous Broncos Super Bowl wins.

“Millions of eyes from around the globe will be on Santa Clara as they watch Super Bowl 50," Kyle said. "And after the Broncos win, those eyes will fall upon Denver.”
