The 2016 Ride the Rockies route will take cyclists 403 miles from Carbondale to Fort Collins.

The Denver Post reports that organizers on Saturday unveiled the route for the six-day race that covers nearly 30,000 vertical feet.

Cyclists will begin on June 12 in Carbondale and pass through Aspen, Copper Mountain, Grand Lake, and Estes Park and end on June 17 in Fort Collins.

Each host community receives an estimated $250,000 in economic impact and is also awarded a $5,000 grant to give to a non-profit organization.
