Larimer County commissioners have approved a plan that will allow Colorado State University to sell all types of liquor at its football stadium.
The Coloradoan reports that CSU athletic director Joe Parker says the school made the request for approval in order to be able to sell regular beer at Hughes Stadium, instead of 3.2 beer. The commissioners' decision Tuesday allows for that change.
Regular beer contains about 4 percent alcohol by weight, making it slightly stronger than the 3.2 beer.
The general manager of the university's concessionaire says price changes for beer at the stadium haven't been discussed.
The change comes as Colorado State University prepares for its final football season at Hughes Stadium. Next year, the university's football games will be held at its new on-campus stadium.
