Colorado’s Senators Oppose Housing Guantanamo Prisoners

Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba and move some detainees to prisons within the country Tuesday. He did not specify which prisons, but one possibility is the federal Supermax near Canon City.

Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet says he agrees that Guantanamo should be closed, but he says it’s holding military prisoners who should be sent to a military prison. Republican Sen. Cory Gardner says he’s opposed to closing Guantanamo at all.
