SW Colorado’s ‘Steaming Bean’ Coffee Chain To Close Last Store

· Mar. 2, 2016, 5:57 pm

A small coffee shop chain in southwestern Colorado is closing its final store after 23 years in business.

The Durango Herald reports that the final Steaming Bean Coffee Co., located in Durango, will close permanently on Friday due to a dispute between the business owner and landlord.

The Durango shop's closure will come on the heels of the Telluride location's shutdown last spring. Steaming Bean Coffee Co. also previously had a coffeehouse in Gunnison. Company President Nick Hill still roasts coffee beans in Telluride.
