CDOT: Motorcycle Deaths Reached Triple Digits In 2015

There were 106 motorcyclist deaths on state roads last year, marking the first time that figure has reached triple digits, according to preliminary data from the Colorado Department of Transportation.

That's an 11.7 percent increase compared to 2014, and a 20 percent increase compared to 2013, CDOT says. Of the 106 deaths, 94 percent were males. Denver, Jefferson and El Paso counties accounted for 40 percent of the number.
