Auto Theft Drives Increase In Colorado Crime For 2015

Auto thefts in Colorado increased by 27.7 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year, and overall reported crimes climbed 6.2 percent for the same time period, according to new statistics from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Homicides marked the second highest increase, 14.7 percent, from 150 in 2014 to 172 in 2015. Reported larceny accounted for the highest over all numbers year to year, 98,315 in 2014 compared to 102,369 in 2015.
